“The really magical things are the ones that happen right in front of you. A lot of the time you keep looking for beauty, but it is already there. And if you look with a bit more intention, you’ll see it.” - Vic Muniz
My yoga journey began a few years ago to complement my love of running. Adding yoga into the mix allowed me to find both the physical and spiritual benefits of the practice.
In September of 2024, I completed the 200-Hour YTT at The Yoga House. I have tremendous gratitude to all my instructors, classmates, and all the wise yogis who came before us and led the way.
Like many, I came to the Hudson Valley for college and stayed after falling in love with the area. I studied at SUNY New Paltz, graduating with my BA in Pschology and MS in Special Education. After college came marriage and family, during which time I taught as a Special Education teacher and Early Intervention Therapist at the Center for Spectrum Disorders for 20 years.
My goal in teaching yoga is similar to my previous teaching - I bring a kind, thoughtful approach to my students. There is a focus on intention, introspection, gratitude, and sharing the joy of a yoga practice. I believe people of all ages and abilities benefit from being taught in a supportive way, providing modifications or adaptations as needed. My hope is that each person can experience yoga in the best way for their own body and feel empowered. I encourage all to find the beauty of yoga, life, breath, and beauty in their own unique practice. Yoga is life! Yoga can unite body, mind and soul!
