Charlie Gott
My yoga journey began in 2021 at Shine Yoga in Clarksville, Arkansas. I was working in the agricultural field and spent much of my free time running on secluded forest and county roads around the area. Initially, yoga meant injury prevention to support a lifestyle of constant physical labor. As my time on the mat increased, so did my reasons for practicing yoga. It became essential to my mental well-being and a catalyst of self-exploration and healing.
An internship in the environmental field brought me to the Hudson Valley in 2022. Unfamiliar with the area and navigating my new work life led me to start a home yoga practice. I moved to Kingston in 2023, when I was hired as a Parks Maintenance Associate for Scenic Hudson. In search of a yoga studio, I happened upon The Yoga House where I completed a 200-Hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2024.
As a teacher, it is my hope for everyone to explore their bodies and minds in a way that fosters self-love and compassion for ourselves and others.
