Y12SR is an innovative addiction relapse prevention program that integrates the wisdom of yoga and the practical tools of 12-Step recovery programs. Guided by its theme “The Issues Live In the Tissues,” Y12SR is a meeting and a yoga practice. The time together will include a 12-Step-like sharing circle, and a yoga asana (movement), pranayama (breathwork) and meditation session. The yoga asana practice offered is designed to be accessible to all bodies and levels of yoga experience.
Y12SR is open to all persons who suffer with addiction as well as to those who love them. This is an open and inclusive group. EVERYONE is welcome. You do not have to be a member of a 12-step group to attend. It is offered as an adjunct — not a replacement — to regular addiction recovery work. The principles of safety and anonymity are upheld by Y12SR.
Ed began practicing yoga over eleven years ago as a way to round out an active fitness program. Over the years yoga has increasingly become a larger part of Ed’s exercise regime. In addition to the physical benefits of yoga, the mental and spiritual benefits keep Ed coming back for more. Ed enrolled in the Yoga Teacher Training at The Yoga House in 2017 with the intention of deepening his yoga practice and learning more about yoga. He teaches a Beginner Yoga class locally and enjoys sharing what he has learned about yoga with others. Ed has recently completed the Y12SR Leadership Training program with Y12SR founder, Nikki Meyers.

Join Certified Primal Health Coach and NASM Personal Trainer Dee Pitcock to help you do just that with her 4 week Reset. This program helps identify your habits, including both exercise and dietary, that may be causing roadblocks on your road to a healthy lifestyle, and reroutes you on a new track to keep your mind, body and spirit on a healthy trajectory. Through this series, you will have 4 weekly meetings that are part discussion and part personal coaching to identify that which needs to change and gives you a plan on how to do so, you will receive 4 emails a week from Dee giving you daily action items and reminders, and you have the option of purchasing a special yoga class package to kickstart your weekly yoga routine to complement your positive plan of action. Dee Pitcock is a Certified Primal Health Coach and NASM Personal Trainer who has been training clients and teaching fitness classes in the Hudson Valley for over 25 years. She has had the pleasure of helping people lead healthier lives with her work at The Mohonk Mountain House, Signature Fitness in Kingston, The Ridge in Stone Ridge, the Yoga House and Woodstock Healing Arts as well as providing in-home training for private clients. Though a lifelong athlete, Dee faced many challenges with her own body composition and health that necessitated a deep dive into nutrition and ways in which to achieve balance in her life right down to the cellular level. Having been through the trenches, she emerged with more tools and an even greater passion to help her community become happier and healthier.
QiGong is the cultivation (gong) of the vital, universal force within and around us (qi.) QiGong often involves making slow movements, being still, stimulating and stretching parts of yourself- all with relaxed attention. Standing, sitting, or laying down, in this class we will learn from the Ling Gui International Healing QiGong School and Turtle Longevity QiGong. For thousands of years we have used QiGong to improve circulation, increase self-awareness, and cultivate self-acceptance.
Corinne Wolcott, MSOM, LAc, Certified QiGong Instructor, shares many possible practices for health, all rooted in self-awareness and self-acceptance. Drawing upon her training as a Chinese Medicine Practitioner and twelve years of QiGong practice, Corinne emphasizes curiosity and trust in her classes. Also considered “yoga for lazy people”, Thai Massage is an ancient healing system developed by a Buddhist physician over 2500 years ago and helps to restore balance and well-being within the body. Thai Massage is usually performed on the floor and both partners wear comfortable clothing allowing for movement. No oils are used in Thai Massage and the practice is often also called Thai Yoga Massage because the therapist uses hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches and adjustments that can include muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure. In this workshops students will learn how to give and receive Thai Massage focusing on the legs, shoulders, low back and hips. No prior experience with bodywork is necessary and these workshops are open to people who come with a partner or without.
Adi Carter is an internationally celebrated yoga teacher and bodyworker who draws from a background of over 20 years in sports injury management and adventuring to keep her always inspired and problem solving ways to strengthen and increase productivity in the body. Her classes focus on structural alignment principles combined with energy work and touch based off of Eastern medicine and she uses Thai Massage as a basis for physically adjusting students in yoga classes and also for teaching students (and teachers) how to safely adjust each other and begin to tap in to their natural healing abilities.
In this workshop on the Chakras System led by Corinne Gervai of Euphoria Yoga in Woodstock we will explore what these energy center are, where they are located, what the sounds, senses, colors, elements, symbols that are associated with each one are and how they relate to various aspects of our lives. We will also explore how to weave this information into an Asana (Yogic Postures) class that relates to the various Chakras.
A hand out with information on the Chakras will be provided, so that you can reference the information during the Workshop with ease, as well as in the future when you wish to incorporate it in your classes once you are a Teacher! * A few fun tips on how to remember some of the information by heart will be offered as well. Corinne is very much looking forward to sharing this time and this rich subject with you!
Corinne Gervai is the founder and Director of Euphoria Yoga in Woodstock and has over thirteen years of teaching experience in New York city and locally. She received her Yoga Teaching certification from the Jivamukti Yoga School in the year 2000 after completing the full one year intensive certification program lead by Sharon Gannon and David Life. Corinne taught all levels at The Jivamukti Yoga School in New York City from 2000-2005. Prior to that Corinne taught the Lotte Berk Method which incorporates element of Yoga, dance and therapeutic stretching in New York city and the Hamptons.In 2005 Corinne received her Advanced Jivamukti certification. Upon moving to Woodstock full time in 2005 Corinne taught locally until 2009 when she opened Euphoria Yoga. Corinne offers much gratitude to her main Yoga teachers Sharon Gannon, David Life as well as to all the wonderful teachers that she takes classes and workshops with which continue to inspire her.
