Teaching All Levels Intensive Module, with Felipa Gaudet & Mel Toth, March 8-10

Teaching All Levels: Guiding Every Body

March 8-10, 2019

Teacher: Felipa Gaudet & Mel Toth

YTT 200 hour, yoga teacher training, hudson valley, kingston, ny, modulesThe most effective yoga teachers can teach to different levels of practitioners in one class. Learn thoughtful ways to make each asana or posture accessible to the beginner-level students in your classes with Mel Toth. Then learn approaches to guide more experienced practitioners with Felipa Gaudet.

Learn:

  • How to teach to both ends of the spectrum: the basic-level & the experienced practitioner
  • How to remain attuned to the different levels of practice in your open-level yoga classes
  • Modifications and prop recommendations for beginner-level students
  • How to direct experienced practitioners into advanced variations and challenging postures
  • How to cue simultaneously to both levels

Felipa Gaudet

Felipa Gaudet, The Yoga House, Kingston, NY Hudson Valley Felipa began practicing yoga as a way to reconnect with her physical self while carving out a place from her busy day to cultivate inner peace. Her desire to land the still-elusive ‘handstand in the middle of the room’ has fueled her dedicated, ongoing practice while teaching her to detach from desired results. As The Yoga House’s Flying Flow, or advanced vinyasa class, Felipa has experience exploring different methods for landing those challenging postures, but also encourages practitioners to honor their bodies and discover the possibilities within each pose in the way that feels right for them.

Mel Toth

Mel TothMel has spent years studying and teaching the fundamentals of asana through the use of props and movement exploration, while emphasizing the discovery of personal alignment, balance and relaxation. After many years of chronic injuries and pain related to scoliosis (curvature of the spine), Mel has found great relief through the practice of gentle and restorative poses and is passionate about incorporating both into her classes. By encouraging students to respect their physical limitations while exploring what’s possible, Mel is skilled in helping each individual learn how to serve the unique needs of the body.

Meditation Intensive Module, with Aaron Dias, Feb. 8-10

Meditation: Traversing the Inner World

February 8-10, 2019

Teacher: Aaron Dias

YTT 200 hour, yoga teacher training, hudson valley, kingston, ny, modulesMeditation is the most fundamental spiritual practice of all because it develops our most valuable asset of all–our awareness. Sharing just a few simple tools and insights, Aaron teaches you how to overcome common obstacles and develop a practice that is steady, satisfying, authentic to your own path and wildly effective in helping you reach your goals. We will devote the rest of the weekend to the study of the energy body–which effects everything about your lived experience on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Though you may not be able to see the subtle body (yet!) everyone can learn how to detect it and learn what it needs. By the end of the weekend you will feel much more confident about who you are, what you need and how to make it all fall into balance.

Learn:

  • the tools you need to establish a committed self-meditation practice.
  • how to translate the information that your own energy body is trying to share.
  • to become the authority on your own spiritual development.
