That’s it. We can be breathing together. Stretching together. Doing our warrior training from anywhere there’s an internet connection.

Classes Cancelled until health officials announce safe to re-open

Stay tuned for further announcements

To serve you in the most responsible way we know how based on county and statewide recommendations, we are going to cancel classes until we hear from local and state health officials that it safe to re-open our doors. We look forward to that time when it comes.

We take seriously the social responsibility we have to minimize spread of the virus by limiting all non-essential gatherings.

Because we do believe yoga is essential, we are working hard to bring you online versions of our classes that will enable you to continue to practice yoga with us in the comfort of your own home. We’ll follow up as soon as those are ready to go (soon!).

We will announce all development via email communications and on our website

A Letter to Our Community

Our Mission to Serve You

& Precautionary Measures

Since we opened our doors in 2011, we have viewed The Yoga House as a safe haven for the community. Now is no different.

As COVID-19 continues to concern the global community, we want to first offer our hearts and thoughts to all of those affected. We understand this is a health crisis for many, and a stress crisis for others.

Disinfecting Measures
Please know that we are taking extra precaution to keep the studio sanitary and safe. While we have always cleaned regularly, we are adding daily disinfecting to highly used areas. New measures include:

  • sanitizing blocks, mats, bathroom surfaces, the desk, doorknobs, and seating area daily
  • laundering all blankets in high heat
  • disinfecting studio floors using a CDC-recommended bleach-to-water ratio

We value our responsibility to you and vow to do all that we can to protect the community. These precautions will continue as we monitor the latest, most credible news sources.

Regarding Props
You may feel more comfortable using your own props during this time. Still, we continue to offer them free for your use. If you do use our mats and blocks, we ask that you continue to wipe down both with our disinfectant spray after class. If you have reason to believe you are coming down with illness, please let us know so that we can remove these props.

Hands-On Assists
We have let all teachers know that we are implementing a temporary measure regarding physical touch in class. While we believe that touch is an important and healing component of the yoga practice, we also respect your right to refuse it. For that reason, we are now asking, in anonymous fashion, whether you would prefer not to receive hands-on assists.

For the Safety of All
If you suspect you are ill, please stay at home. We will look forward to your return when you are feeling better and have clearance from your doctor.

Your Yoga Safe Haven
We have a mission to keep yoga accessible for all. In trying times, yoga studios and your yoga practice in general can be such a necessary bastion of support, wellness, and calm. When you tend to your wellness, everyone in your family and community benefit. We hope you will continue to find comfort and ease in your continued yoga practice here at the studio.

New Audio Classes Available Soon
For those of you who need to be at home during this time, we are working on offering audio classes through our website. We’ll be sending detailed information about how to access these classes as soon as they are available.

We thank you for your continued support and hope you know how privileged we feel to serve all of you. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any additional concerns and questions. We look forward to seeing you soon.

In peace and with gratitude,

Jacquelyn and Leigha
