Workshop – Arm Balances: The Ins and Outs w/ Felipa Gaudet – Free for Members – March 21st, 1-3pm

Playing with arm balances is a lot of fun in a regular yoga class, but tackling them in class doesn’t afford us the time to wrap our heads around the whole process. Join Flying Flow instructor Felipa Gaudet as she dives into the structure of balancing your body on your hands in a number of different postures. She’ll offer different approaches for coming into various arm balances, including ways to use props and self-assists. She’ll also share some fun transitions out of them, including some eye-opening, playful transitions from one arm balance to another. The end goal is to have fun, learn about postures, and maybe even fall and laugh a little while building a new relationship to balancing on your hands.

Felipa Gaudet

Felipa began practicing with The Yoga House community after the birth of her youngest daughter, seeking a way to strengthen and reconnect with her physical self while carving out a place from her busy day to cultivate inner peace. Her desire to land the still-elusive ‘handstand in the middle of the room’ has fueled her dedicated, ongoing practice while teaching her to detach from desired results.

Felipa teaches in an invigorating and fluid Vinyasa style, while encouraging folks to honor their bodies and discover the possibilities within each pose in the way that feels right for them. A Montessori teacher in her other life, Felipa believes yoga can be accessible to all and she offers multiple levels of challenge within various options for poses. In her classes, she enjoys exploring the relationships between poses while steadily building to a fun challenge.
