The mythical hero Hanuman took an epic leap across the continents in honor of service, dharma, and friendship. This year, Jacqui and Leigha prepare to take a leap of their own — into a more spacious abode of movement, meditation, and spiritual awakening for The Yoga House community. Join us for this special two-hour class that promises song, story, and myth in motion.

Journey through the jungle of Hanuman’s birth. Flow through phases of Hanuman’s development as an exemplary and celebrated yogi-to-emulate as we share poetry and passages from this beautiful fable. Learn the origin of many yoga asanas. Expect to listen, to flow, to sing, to meditate, and to share in conversation with the many uplifting yogis in your midst. Wear comfy yoga clothing and bring your vocal chords.

Second Location Opening in

Midtown Kingston

Saturday, May 13th

Celebrating with FREE classes all day at both locations!

Free Class Schedule          New Teachers          New Classes

You may have noticed that some of our evening classes have been bursting at the seams. Literally. Classes have been overflowing. And while it’s exciting that so many people are interested in yoga and our offerings, we, Leigha & Jacqui, couldn’t help but feel like the time was right to move into a bigger location that could better serve our community. The idea of moving was bittersweet. We were sad that we would have to move out of the birthplace of The Yoga House in 2011 but we knew it was best if we could offer classes in a space with more freedom to move. Luckily, we’ve found the perfect location in Midtown Kingston at 474 Broadway, right in between Monkey Joe’s and Stone Soup, that is allowing us to expand the presence of yoga into Midtown without giving up our quaint original home in Uptown Kingston on Crown Street. We’re working hard to make it feel like your other yoga home in Kingston. And, yes, we will also have a small parking lot at the new studio, along with a municipal lot right next door.

So beginning Saturday, May 13th, The Yoga House will have a presence in two districts in Kingston. With both studios open, we’ll be able to run simultaneous classes. Most of the classes that we already offer will move to the new, larger location on Broadway, and the Uptown studio on Crown Street will run more specialized classes such as Prenatal Yoga, Yoga en Español, and Restorative Yoga. And for the ease of our community, your class cards and memberships will be valid at both locations! We will now be offering 29 weekly classes, plus 4 monthly classes, between the two studios. You can see the complete schedule, which begins Sunday, May 14th, here.

On that Saturday, May 13th, we will be celebrating this new chapter of The Yoga House with a day of FREE yoga at both studios. The classes will be about 40 minutes long; short enough to potentially try out a few classes during the day. The schedule of free classes is listed below.

We know that there are a lot of questions so hopefully this page will help answer most of them. If you do have additional inquiries, please feel free to reach out via email to us. We’d love to hear from you.

We do want to introduce you to the new teachers at the studio. Below are the bios of the teachers who are joining our family, and if you’d like to read about our current teachers, visit our teachers page. And don’t forget to keep scrolling to read about our new classes.
