YA-SCHOOL-RYS-200 The Yoga House Kingston, NY

Our 200-hour registered teacher training program exceeds the requirements set by the Yoga Alliance. Our primary focus is on the teaching of Vinyasa Flow Yoga, but we draw from many yogic disciplines, including but not limited to Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga. We offer a thorough and well-rounded yoga education — from our careful attention to anatomy and alignment to the study of yogic scriptures to the incorporation of a Seva (or selfless service) component. We see yoga as a holistic approach to life that benefits body, mind, spirit and community.

Ongoing Prenatal Yoga Class

Ongoing Prenatal Yoga Class

Fridays 3:00-4:15pm $12  (starts 11/2/12)

It’s no secret that prenatal yoga can be one of the best forms of exercise for mamas-to-be. Join expecting mom and certified yoga instructor, Jacqui Nash, every Friday, starting November 2, for a prenatal yoga class open to all levels. We will begin the class discussing a weekly topic related to pregnancy where future mamas can share their own stories, concerns & ideas about the topic. After our discussion, we’ll explore very gentle prenatal poses for women new to yoga and we will even touch on some sequences for more experienced practitioners. Each class will end with restorative postures, meditation and final relaxation. Join us as we build a prenatal community and we watch our bellies grow together.

Friday 3:00-4:15pm $12. Pre-registration encouraged but not required. Please bring your own pillow. Call Jacqui for more info or to preregister- 845-399-7478

Be Your Own Valentine

An Evening of Yoga, Wine and Chocolate

Saturday, February 11th – $20

6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

“To practice kama [pleasure] yogically means to be fully present with whatever you’re experiencing.” – Sally Kempton

Every time we come to our yoga mats is an opportunity to treat ourselves with kindness, mindfulness, and love. That “blissed out” feeling we often feel after a yoga class comes not only from moving the body, connecting with breath, and clearing our minds, but also from the joy and pleasure of treating ourselves well.

On Saturday, February 11th, join Vinyasa yoga instructor Allison Gould for a special evening that honors the love we give to our selves. The evening will begin with an extra juicy, warming, rejuvenating vinyasa flow – designed to leave you feeling simultaneously enlivened and relaxed.

Following the practice, we will share in a celebration of some of the greatest pleasures of life: wine and chocolate. A simple indulgence for the sake of pleasure, joy and love.

Treat yourself, bring a friend, and join with our community for an evening that honors the sweetness of love. Email to pre-register: [email protected]
