Lunation…Exploring the Sacred Feminine through Yoga and Movement

with Lynda Wisdo

[Lunation] the period of time from one New Moon to the next about 29 ½ days… a lunar month…the heart of all feminine cycles.

This workshop invites women of all ages to explore their feminine energies through various yoga postures and sequences of self-directed or authentic movement. Much like the Lunation cycles which move us through the dark of the New Moon into the light of the Full Moon each month, our explorations will include postures that are deep and meditative as well as more open and active movement.  We will conclude the workshop with a guided meditation honoring the Sacred Feminine that dwells within each and every one of us. In addition to yoga and self-guided movement, ideas and questions will also be presented to help inspire participants to continue exploring their personal feelings about feminine spirituality on their own after the workshop is over. Please wear clothing that will allow you to move freely and comfortably. You may also like to bring a notebook to journal about your experience.

As a certified spiritual mentor, yoga instructor and Reiki practitioner, Lynda Wisdo brings tools gathered through her personal healing from the aftereffects of abuse and from an intense spiritual/menopausal crisis to her work with women undergoing various types of feminine transitions or crises. These tools include spiritual mentoring, dream exploration, yoga and movement, energy practices and creative writing exercises. In an effort to further enhance her skills and deepen her knowledge about spiritual crises and the Spirituality of the Feminine, Lynda is also currently pursuing an MA degree in Transpersonal Studies/Spiritual Mentoring at Atlantic University and expects to graduate from this program sometime in 2012. You can reach Lynda with questions about the workshop or about individual sessions at hypwisewoman@yahoo.com, 914-474-8177 or at her website at lyndawisdo.weebly.com.

An Andean Healing Session Shedding Our Stories, Standing in Our Power: Learning from the Earth and Her Many Teachers

with Veronica Sedda

Many ancient cultures utilized nature and their environment as example for how they lived their lives. The connection to nature and to our universe has its roots in feminine spirit. Mother earth provides us with many creatures, that we can call upon to learn from in all aspects of our lives. In this workshop, Veronica will introduce the archetypes of the Inca medicine wheel, the gifts they can share with us, and how to embody these gifts in daily life. Please dress comfortably, bring a pillow to sit on, a stone of your choice as well as an open mind. Please also bring a pen and paper.

Veronica Sedda practices Andean medicine traditions, is an intuitive, clairvoyant and a reiki practitioner. She offers energy healing sessions to assist clients in shedding what no longer serves them, that they might more readily gain the gifts and lessons of their experiences. Her focus is on finding the origin of the issue in order to heal all aspects of the mind, body and soul. She encourages client participation in their healing process, promoting self awareness and responsibility.

3:00 – 5:00pm
