Tandem Yoga: Balancing Earth & Sky

November 5, 4:00-5:30pm

Gear up for tricks and playtime. Friend of the studio Emily Seymour will teach us an acro-influenced, Tandem Yoga class.

Tandem Yoga is a heart-centered practice that explores balanced opposition and connection through collaboration. We will embody the earth and sky elements through acrobatic yoga and partner assists. Includes an overview on healthy alignment in backbends. All levels are welcome although a basic yoga foundation is recommended. No partner is necessary – come solo or bring a friend!

Suggested love donation of $10

All proceeds will go to Off the Mat, Into the World®, a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging yoga and social activism.  This event is part of LuvMat’s Yoga Empowers Project (YEP).

Spaces are limited and filling up quickly. Email to reserve your spot!

Pencil us in… Our November 5th art show is shaping up to be an ambitious one. We certainly hope you’ll join! We’re helping Awosting Alchemy (Aw/Al), the Hudson Valley’s magazine of words and art, celebrate their first anniversary by featuring several artists whose pieces will be displayed in Aw/Al’s next issue.

In store that evening:
  • Literary readings by past and present contributors to Aw/Al
  • Artwork by SUNY New Paltz’s Printmaking Club
  • Wine, apple cider and finger foods!

See our events page, or the festival’s website for details.

New Art up for October!

We are loving the new artwork! “Works on Paper,” by Katie Cassolino, will be up through October 27th. Cassolino’s drawings, paintings and sketches strike us as simultaneously beautiful and dark, floral and macabre. Cool fact: She used squid ink to create a few of them. Best of all, she’s priced her stuff reasonably. Come take a look!
